Well it is spring break here and almost Easter.  I've noticed that my friends have had little posted so I thought I should step up.
I have already been to the public library and checked out 21 books (and paid my $12.00 fine...oops).
Trying to finish up the Civil War Quilt from BB.  I had the sashing and 4 blocks for the corners to do.  Mucho work.  I decided to go with the nine patch blocks and strip sashing.   I used up quite a bit of my stash, but boy that took lots longer than I thought.  Then I was trying to decide on the corner blocks or the 4 extra ones to make the setting come out right.  I decided on something simple and I embroidered (or am embroidering) the date/name/and other info about the quilt in the middle of the blocks...then I get to lay it out and sew.  I am thinking this is going to be one huge quilt!
Pups are very happy mom is home...though they don't know they will be getting baths on Wed....shhh don't tell them.  k

  1. Hope you have a great spring break!!! I don't know what I've been up to besides working. Can't wait to see your CW BOW quilt. I still need to find some red for an inner border (do ya think I have any in the mess that is my sewing room??!!!??) and sew on borders. I have border-avoidance issues I think.

  2. How did the baths go? I got one of the baby quilts I'm working on sandwiched, quilted, and the border sewn on one side. Now I just have to do the handstitching (which is not my favorite part). I can't wait to see what you have been working on!!!
