I was working on cutting out the background fabric for our lasted swap. It is a great one called Morning Star from Pat Speth's Nickel Quilts. There are seven of us in this swap and we each had to give the others 30 5" squares. We are doing reproduction-ish fabric.I proceeded to cut the background strips and then realize how many 1 1/2" squares we needed to cut.....ahhhh 848! Did anyone else notice this? This means that we will be attaching 848 1 1/2" squares....hmmm sounds like Silver Thimbles' Nine Patch Pattern...hee hee. How many 9 patches were there Gretchen? Well my background is all cut and put into ziplocs for Thimbles this month.
